Our Story

Nagrani's started doing business in the early 1960's.   Our late founder and chairman, Mr Mohan Nagrani,  began as a humble trader supplying sundries to Indian hand couriers. Within the decade, his keen acumen and stellar integrity enabled him to grow the enterprise into one of the most reputable textile merchants in the region.

By the mid-1970's, our founder's clairvoyance of the surging demand of consumer electronics propelled the company as one of the key importer and exporter of televisions, video cassette recorders, cameras and home appliances in Asia.  The company's strength in market share and prominence was legendary.  However, the company adhered strictly to the philosophy of conservative and responsible growth and diversification; a philosophy that defines our vision even today and moving forward.

While our endeavours to identify and exploit new trends in the industry continue, our focus remains on efficiently evolving the businesses and core assets we have harnessed over the course of our long history.
